With the emergence of the UCSA in 1896, the intention was that the organization employed youth in South Africa under the command of Christ to make known God's love to the world.

Over the decades, the context and challenges of youth in South Africa changed drastically.

UCSA still host various camps and serve more than 700 UCSA groups in schools nationwide.

The challenges facing youth in South Africa, has already destroyed many young lives in the country.

UCSA would like to be the salt and light of the earth, and we do this through running relevant programs that address the pressing issues of our day. UCSA's Projects division develops programs that focus on addressing the problems that the youth are constantly facing.

One of these pressing issues is child abuse. The extent of this problem cannot be totally determined because many victims do not report to the police.

UCSA's Puppet Show against Child Abuse seeks to address this issue by offering a vibrant and interactive puppet show for primary school children. The puppet show reminds learners of the fact that they are precious and unique and that no one has the right to misuse or abuse them. In addition, students are explained what they can do if they or a friend is a victim of child abuse.

The presentation is 40 minutes long. A minimal fee is charged to cover costs. If there are any Schools or churches in the Western Cape and Northern Cape that would like to invite a puppet show team for a performance, contact Danneline Ramsden at 021-8870212 or e-mail her at This email address is being protected from spambots.
